PI opens Silicon Valley Tech Center


PI (Physik Instrumente), a German expert in motion control, piezo technology and nano-positioning systems, has opened a new technical center in Silicon Valley, its most recent expansion in the United States, to better support and meet customer needs new and existing.

The Tech Center houses the It’s Possible Lab as a secure environment to collaborate with customers on new innovations, as well as ongoing product demonstrations and a conference and training space.

“Providing technical expertise located in one of the most innovative regions in the world will strengthen our collaborations with thought leaders in the photonics, industrial automation, life sciences and semiconductor markets,” not to mention the many research institutes that are very familiar with PI, ”said Dave Rego, President of PI Americas. “Our new technical center is a welcome addition that enables our current and future customers to push the boundaries of nanpositioning, performance automation and piezo technology in their cutting-edge applications. To say we’re excited is an understatement.

Silicon Valley Tech Center joins PI’s existing sales and applications office in the Los Angeles area, while the Americas headquarters is located outside of Boston, MA, with additional engineering and manufacturing facilities in Hopkinton, MA and Nashua, NH.
