Xavier Montagne appointed Deputy CEO of

(NASDAQ: VMAR) (“Vision Marine” or the “Company”), the world leader in the electrical transition of the yachting industry serving both OEMs and consumers, is pleased to announce that Xavier Montagne, currently Chief Technology Officer of Vision Marine, has been appointed to additional position of Chief Operating Officer.
Xavier Montagne was a visionary when it came to the design and construction of our first generation fully electric propulsion system, the revolutionary E-Motion 180e. Mr. Montagne has been responsible for direct engagement with engineers at McLaren Engineering, a division of Linamar Corporation (TSX: LNR), and has been instrumental in advancing Vision Marine’s ability to increase production for sales to global OEMs.
Before Vision Marine acquired the intellectual property from MAC Engineering relating to marine outboard electronic systems and Mr. Montagne joined Vision Marine as Chief Technology Officer (announced February 23, 2021), Mr. Montagne was Senior Designer for Foresee Power, Panasonic and Saft in Europe. , designing low and high voltage battery management systems. At MAC Engineering, in his role as CEO and Principal Engineer, Mr. Montagne was responsible for electronic architecture design, product selection, integration, fine-tuning, optimization and performance overall. In addition, Mr. Montagne participated in the development of the sporty version of the Renault ZOE, using his expertise to help design the definition, design and assembly of the powertrain. This car was used to open Formula E shows and was driven by legendary French racing driver Alain Prost.
